Mission Mindset - Called to GO!

I don't know if you've heard, but I have completed writing on my first book!

I'm still going through the rigors of getting it published and being ready to do the launch, but I have come to one conclusion...

I love writing and serving others with the insights I get from God.

We started this blog a few years back to highlight our efforts in Guatemala. We are currently raising up partners in that mission and hope to move there full time later in 2024.

But in the meantime, I want to start offering mission mindset posts on a regular basis.

My goal will be to encourage you with the truths that God is showing me. As I plan to go to the people and place God has called me, I will also encourage you to go to the people and places God has called you.

Abraham was chosen by God in the book of Genesis, to be the father of many nations. That promise included being called to father the nation of Israel, God's chosen people. Of course, the promise seemed impossible because...

God loves to promise us things that seem impossible. They seem impossible because, without a reliance on Him and total abandon to His plan being established in our lives, they are impossible.

Abraham's impossible promise involved having a son. Impossible because his wife was barren and he was old himself. But God loves to make impossible things possible.

However, notice in Genesis 12:1 the first thing God says to Abraham isn't about having a son. The first thing God says to Abraham is "Go."

When God has something for us, He often starts with a simple command of "Go."

Where is the Lord asking you to go? To your neighbors? To a coworker? To an estranged family member or an old friend? To a new friend? If you ask the Lord where he is sending you, what do you hear?
