Who We Are
alegría (ah leh gree ah) is the Spanish word for "joy"
Our pastor likes to say, "If you think Christianity is boring, you aren't doing it right!" Serving the Lord has been our greatest joy and privilege. We believe there is joy in going, joy in doing, as well as joy in receiving! Our heart's cry is that the world would know Him and experience Him in a richer way through this ministry.
"You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." Psalm 16:11

Thirty years ago the Lord called me to the mission field, but through a series of choices and events my life took a different path. I always wondered if I had misunderstood the Lord or just flat out disobeyed Him. But my heart for missions continued to grow until one day I decided to get a passport; I would be ready just in case. Within six months, I was invited to go to Guatemala and my life was forever changed! Since that trip, God has challenged me to step into my calling; the time is now. ~Eli
I have been so blessed to be married to my beautiful wife Elizabeth for more than 27 years. I always knew she had a heart for missions, and while I am a people person, I never had much interest in leaving the USA. God changed my heart through a series of short term missions trips to Guatemala, and I am confident that He is calling my wife and I to live there and start a ministry that comes alongside the local church. Exciting times are up ahead, and we are so thankful for all who are partnering with us in this endeavor. ~Jesse
